Women in Focus:

Suki Takagi

Suki began her career in Beverly Hills, studied with Vidal Sassoon in London, and in 1972 opened her first salon in Vancouver. Suki quickly established a name for herself and the salon by creating a fashionable, avant-garde image for her company and its clients. The company has now grown from the original five-chair salon to four salons a spa and the Suki’s Academy. The company now employs about 140 people.

A member of Intercoiffure, the industry’s most prestigious association, Suki is recognized internationally for the educational excellence she has established. She has received numerous industry and civic awards and honors including the prestigious YWCA’s Woman of Distinction award for her work in education and her entrepreneurial spirit.

With my hectic schedule, I look forward to get a relaxing spa and hair treatment from Suki’s and after single visit, I feel much relaxed and rejuvenated.
